[Letter] 1876 Dec. 26, Baltimore to John A. Broadus / Joshua Levering. 1876.

Levering had received a letter from Pastor T. Jones of the Beaufort, S.C. Baptist Church, asking for a donation to restore the church, damaged during the [Civil] War. The church was Richard Fuller's first pastorate. Levering sent Broadus ten dollars "with the request that you forward it to Mr. Jones or the proper authorities of the church, provided a true representation of the facts in the case have been made."
